The Center

Intern in Palestine sits on Ein Sarah Street, at the heart of Hebron, West Bank. It has evolved as an extension of the Excellence Center and Engage in Palestine programs. The aim is to deliver expanded educational, community development, social, and cultural services to Palestinians. This includes refugees, children, women, youth, and other community members in and around Hebron, West Bank.

The Excellence Center In Palestine was founded in June 2011 by dedicated Palestinian community servants. They established the center to create a bridge between Palestinian students and their peers abroad. Our Center has grown to become a pillar of the community. We offer educational, cultural, social, and community services to a diverse group of international students, interns, and volunteers. This is also offered to the Palestinian students in Hebron.

Serving The Local Community

We focus all of our work on enriching the local society and student population of Hebron, West Bank. The Palestinian Ministry of Education fully licenses the Excellence Center and Internship in Palestine as a cultural and educational center. It also supervises our quality of education.

Fully equipped with computers, high-speed wireless internet, numerous classrooms, and a large kitchen, we offer many learning and enrichment opportunities to a diverse group of international participants to ultimately help serve the Palestinian community.

We Host International Volunteers, Students, Interns, and Visitors

As part of our mission, we welcome international volunteers, interns, students, and visitors of all ages interested in Palestine to join our Center. We offer year-round programs which can last from 1 week up to 3 months.

Since our founding over ten years ago, we have hosted more than 1000 participants, including students, graduates, professionals, and retired people who come from a myriad of countries around the world. This includes countries such as the USA, the UK, Canada, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, China, Croatia, Republic of Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Ethiopia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden, among others.

Awards And Recognitions

As our name suggests, we strive towards excellence in everything and we provide unique opportunities for internationals to engage in Palestine. The Excellence Center-Internship in Palestine in Hebron now has over 12 years of experience. We pride ourselves on the positive feedback received from over 1,000 participants since our founding in 2011.

In 2022, Go Overseas rated us as one of the top three programs worldwide in offering volunteer opportunities and as one of the top three language schools worldwide. We received a total of five Go Overseas Community Choice Awards in 2022. The Excellence Center-Internship in Palestine was also recognized as one of the top Teach Abroad Providers for the category of “benefits”. Additionally, we were recognized as one of the Top Internship Abroad Providers for the categories of “growth” and “support”.

In 2021, we were also rated one of the top three programs worldwide in offering volunteer opportunities. We also received community choice awards from Go Overseas in the category “Best Language School”, and voted best on “fun” and “instruction.”

In 2019, we received our first “Go Overseas Community Choice Awards” to acknowledge our impact on the community of travelers around the world. The Excellence Center-Internship in Palestine continues to be a highly rated travel organization with many outstanding reviews:

Our Programs Make a Great Impact

We have thoroughly researched and targeted our Volunteer and Internship programs in the West Bank, Palestine. They are suitable for anyone who wants to gain insights into daily Palestinian legal affairs and human rights. We aim to make a long-term difference for the Palestinian local community through the exchange of ideas and “walking in each other’s shoes”.

Flexible Booking

At Internship in Palestine, we understand that things change. As such, our programs are incredibly flexible in case you need to alter travel plans or just simply have a change of heart. As programs begin at our center year-round (with flexible start and end dates), you decide your arrival and departure.

Furthermore, you’re able to change your start date entirely free of charge if requested at least two weeks beforehand.

Our center is located in the heart of Hebron, West Bank, on Ein Sarah Street (under the supervision of the Palestinian Authority). This makes it easy for international and Palestinian students alike to access. Its central location makes it well-connected to Hebron’s municipal and educational organizations, such as restaurants, supermarkets, banks, gyms, shops, cafes, mosques, holy sites, and much more.
